I've been getting quite into my baking lately. I got a Hummingbird Bakery cook book for my birthday last year and have since been working my way through the recipes. The cakes in this book are so tasty and there are lots of different varieties to try.
Over the Easter weekend I went to see my family and they hinted that they might enjoy a cake or two. So the night before, I hit the kitchen with recipe on hand and a little twist in my mind. I used
this recipe but used yellow food dye in the frosting and a mini egg for the decoration.
My piping skills need some work, but they tasted pretty good!
