What Kylie Jenner uses | MAKEUP

Somehow over the past few months I seem to have been sucked into the Kylie Jenner fan club. I don't know what it is about her, but something is fascinating.

When Kylie posted some snap chats yesterday revealing her makeup routine I jumped at the chance to have a close look at what products she uses. Then I re-watched the snaps and noted them all down so I could tell you guys.

For her base she uses the Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done which is a cross between a primer, tinted moisturiser and sheer foundation. She uses this in conjunction with the Makeup Forever Ultra HD foundation which is now available at Debenhams.

After her base is in place, Kylie does her brows. She starts by using the Anastasia brow wiz pencil in Caramel. Then follows with the Becca ultimate coverage concealer to neaten and brighten under the brow line. Then using some of the foundation from before, on a concealer brush she neatness the top line of her brows. Kylie sets her brows in place using the Anastasia brow gel.

She then conceals around her under eyes, nose a centre of her forehead using the Nars radiant creamy concealer which she blends in using a beauty blender. She then sets her face using Laura Mercier translucent loose setting powder and Chanel Mat Lumière powder.

Kylie then uses some brown and black eye shadow to create a blended smokey eye look - she didn't share the brand on snap chat.

The ever popular Benefit Hoola is Kylie's bronzer of choice which she pairs with the Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop highlighter. She gives her cheeks a healthy glow with the Sephora blush in 23 passionate.

Kylie curls her lashes and then uses a Lancôme mascara, I think it was the Définicils. She then mentioned using a seperate brown mascara on her lower lashes as it is more subtle - a trick she learnt from a makeup artist. For the waterline, she uses a Sephora brown jumbo waterproof eyeliner.

She finished off the look with her own brand lip liner in candy k and her brand new yet-to-be-released gloss in koko.

Urban Decay Naked 3 palette

If you read my recent post on the Illamasqua sculpting duo, then you would have heard all about Cohorted. If you haven't read it, maybe you have already heard about Cohorted anyway? If you have not heard about Cohorted - go there now (well, after finishing my post :))!

I got the beautiful Urban Decay Naked 3 palette for £18.50, thats 50% off the RRP. I have been extremly satisfied with my MUA palettes over the past few months, but who can't say no to Urban Decay at such a reasonable price?! I know I couldn't and neither could my sister, hehe.

The palette is famous for its long lasting, amazing pigmented rose-hued neutrals. I have never been one for pink neutrals, normally I go for brown/beige neutrals being blonde haired, blue eyed. But I did a little bit of research before buying it, and I saw what an amazing array of looks you can make with it,  for any skin tone and hair colour.

The palette comes not only with 12 amazing eyeshadows but also with a lovely soft double ended brush and four samples of the different primer potions that Urban Decay sell.

You can immediately see from looking and feeling the packaging that this palette is good quality, it looks great and feels pretty robust for sticking in your bag and travelling with. With the range of colours it includes, you can achieve so many different looks from light girly day-time to evening dark smokey eyes.

The eyeshadows have pretty good staying power and last well throughout the day. The brush is pretty decent too. I haven't actually tried the primer potion yet, but I have high hopes.

In summary I am sooooo glad I finally have an Urban Decay palette and I can see why it is raved about. However, if it wasn't for the discount, I can't say I'd actually spend £37.50 on one. For me that is just crazy money to spend on makeup, for other people maybe not.

MUA Undressed Palette

MUA Undressed palette: ★★★★★


I have stumbled across various mentions of the MUA palettes in numerous blogs and vlogs lately and saw that they are only £4. Also, certain ones are said to be a bit of a Urban Decay Naked palette dupe so thought it'd definitely be worth a try.

After much deliberation between the "Heaven and Earth" and "Undressed" palettes, I went for the Undressed. It has 12 colours which can be described as neutral/smokey eye colours. (The Heaven and Earth was all browny/neutral shades.)

I have to say I'm really impressed with it for the price. Although it is quite a small palette, you couldn't expect much more in light of the price tag. The lid is clear so you can see the colours (useful if you decide to build up a collection) and it comes with a double ended eye makeup applicator. I haven't used all of the colours yet, but I've been happy with the ones I have, and they seem to last as well as my usual daily Rimmel eyeshadows.

If Wikipedia is to be believed, MUA is actually a phantom brand created by Superdrug. They have a very reasonably priced range of makeup starting at £1. This is a great way to treat yourself inexpensively on a shopping trip.
