Week 2 manicure challenge

For my week 2 manicure challenge I have done a black base with ombré glitter.

This is my first ever attempt at ombré glitter, so I was pretty happy with how it went. I used this video as a guide.

I used my black Nails Inc by Kate Spade that I got free with Glamour mag last month for the base colour. For the ombré glitter I used a Barry Ms shade 239 lavender glitter polish. 

Pink ombré nails

I was going to go for a nice bright pink summery nail varnish today but couldn't pick which to use.

So I decided to put together 5 pink shades and do this ombré look. If you have the polish, then why not eh?! 

It's not the best graduation of colour, but it looks quite fun.

Reverse Ombré

A little while ago I mentioned that I was liking the ombré look and thinking about the reverse ombré for myself.

Well, I just took the plunge!

By the way, I've just started using a mobile hairdresser and my oh my it's great to have someone come to you! But that's another post.

Anyway here is my reverse ombré hair-do before and after adding a little curl.

What do you think?

I could probably have been a bit braver and let her go a little higher up, but maybe next time.

Ombré hair

I came across this photo on instagram recently. Love this look so much. I'm a natural blonde though. Not sure how good it would look with brown tips. I think it's called reverse ombré the other way round.
